On Sunday the 25th of February, our iHelp (Social Justice) students participated in mass at St John 23rd in Stanhope Gardens.
We had students involved during the mass in many different ways: welcoming the parishioners, reading prayers of the faithful, offertory, taking up the collections and dancing a liturgical movement to our School Song “This Holy Cross”.
We had so much fun sharing our gifts with the parish. After the mass, we held a cake stall outside the church. We all had fun selling the cakes we had made, and using our mathematical skills to work out the change for each sale. We raised an amazing $796.05.
The money raised has been donated to the Pastoral Care Group at St John 23rd Parish. This group spends time with the elderly people within our community, the money will go towards taking these people out and about, ensuring that they're having a wonderful time!
Thank you to our wonderful parents who helped us make delicious cakes and slices for this event and for helping us to sell on the day!
We are looking forward to our next Social Justice initiative so that we can continue a difference to others in our community!

As our Year 6 students finished up today we celebrate the friendships made, the lessons learned, and the way faith has helped guide and grow each and every student. As they move on to the next chapter, may God bless them, watch over them, and lead them with courage, kindness, and hope. βοΈ16 Dec 2025
