β€οΈ Making a Difference with Messages of Hope! We are absolutely bursting with pride over the incredible compassion shown by our students! π₯Ή Every single student in our school played a part in a beautiful project that embodies the core teachings of Jesus by providing hope, joy, and love to children in need. They created links for a massive, colourful paper chain, and on each link, they wrote a personal message of encouragement, happiness, and peace. The result is a magnificent chain filled with hundreds of heartfelt wishes! πβ¨ This chain has now been used to help decorate the Westmead Children's Hospital for Christmas! Our hope is that these visible messages of love and faith bring a little extra light, comfort, and joy to the brave children, their families, and the dedicated staff there. It's a powerful reminder that when we work together in love, we can truly brighten the world for others. Well done, everyone!

This week we say a very special farewell to Mrs Villiers, who after 24 years of dedicated service is retiring from the Holy Cross school community π’ For over two decades, Mrs Villiers has been a constant presence, supporting generations of students, working alongside countless staff, and giving her time, care and commitment to everything she did. Her kindness, professionalism and deep care for our school and students have left a lasting mark that will be felt for many years to come. Throughout her time, Mrs Villiers has seen our school grow and change, yet one thing has always remained the same, her unwavering dedication to our students and community. We are incredibly grateful for the knowledge, warmth and positivity she has shared so generously. Thank you, Mrs Villiers, for everything you have given to our school over the past 24 years. You will be greatly missed ππ We wish you all the very best in this next chapter of your life, you truly deserve it β€οΈ Mrs Villiers will be farewelled with a guard of honour this Wednesday afternoon, and it would be fantastic if you could join us for the occasion π

On Wednesday we presented Imogen (Year 4) with the CSPD Primary sports award for her outstanding achievements in swimming this year, competing at Zone, Diocesan, MacKillop and NSW State level competitions. πββοΈ Congratulations to Imogen on this wonderful achievement! π

Congratulations to Syesha from Year 2 who recently represented Blacktown Little Athletics Club at the Met West Zone Championship. πββοΈ After competing across several events, she successfully qualified for the Regional Championship, where she will be participating in the 400m hurdles and the 60m hurdles π 400m (Girls Under 8) 60m Hurdles (Girls Under 8)

It was inspiring to see our students lead with reverence, confidence and gratitude as they marked the end of their primary school journey. We want to send the warmest thank you to every family and staff member who contributed to the Jesuit Social Services Christmas Food Drive this year! The response was overwhelming, and some iHelp students were able to deliver two car boots full of essential items to the Ignite Food Store in Emerton. Your donations were immediately placed on the shelves and are now providing comfort and relief to struggling people in our local community. Due to the great volume of donations, we were also able to create extra food hampers for the St Vincent de Paul Society. These hampers have also been collected and distributed to local families in need this Christmas season. Thank you for living out the spirit of giving! ππ

We are still glowing from last Saturday! Our Choir and iHelp students delivered a touching performance, complete with singing and a full reenactment of the birth of Jesus at St John 23rd Church.
