Congratulations to all students who ran, jumped and threw at the Blacktown Zone Athletics Carnival on Tuesday. We had some amazing results, many students making finals or placing top 10 in their events. Today, our school community gathered in prayer to celebrate the Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. ๐๐ Through our liturgy, we reflected on Maryโs life of faith, her trust in God and her humble response to His call. Mary reminds us of the importance of saying โyesโ to God and following Him with courage and love. ๐๐

Another fantastic sporting achievement from our community! ๐๐ On the weekend Max and Yuvraj from Year 5 and Zac from Year 3 participated in the NSW Taekwondo State Championships and achieved outstanding results! ๐ฅ Max โ Silver Medal 10โ11 Years, Red Belt, 34โ38 kg ๐ฅ Yuvraj โ Silver Medal 10โ11 Years, Red Belt, 31โ34 kg ๐ฅ Zac โ Gold Medal 8โ9 Years, Red Belt, 28โ31 kg All three boys will now be heading to Canberra for the National Championships! ๐ฅ What a fantastic achievement!

Celebrating the Feast of St. Mary MacKillop ๐ธ On Wednesday, our school community gathered together to celebrate Mass in honour of Australiaโs first saint, St. Mary MacKillop! It was a beautiful service dedicated to reflecting on her incredible legacy of faith, courage, and dedication to education. Our students and staff were reminded of her famous wordsโ"Never see a need without doing something about it"โand how we can live out her mission of kindness and service in our everyday lives. Mass Highlights: Student-led readings, offertory, beautiful music from our Principal, Mr Lendvai, and a liturgical movement from our Years 2 and 3 students (organised by Miss Burt and Mrs Farrelly.

This week some of our senior students participated in the Western Sydney Wanderers Schools Cup โฝ๏ธ๐๐ This is a five a side tournament that is open to all schools in Western Sydney. Both our boys and girls teams did exceptionally well. Our boys team won the majority of their games and only narrowly lost to the eventual winners. Our girls team also did exceptionally well winning every game except for one and finishing in second placeโฝ๏ธโฝ๏ธ๐

Today, our Kindy to Year 3 students had a special morning exploring the parables of Jesus brought to life through the power of song! ๐พโจ A massive thank you to Van, who not only wrote these wonderful songs but also shared his incredible talent by performing them for our students today. It was a beautiful, joyful way for our younger students to connect with these timeless stories. Ask your children on the ride home which parable song was their favourite! ๐๐ฌ A huge thank you to Deacon Adrian, who organised this for us!
