Holy Cross acknowledges parents and carers as each student’s most influential, primary and essential educators.
We encourage parents to be actively involved in school life and work with us to ensure the best educational outcomes for your child.
Parents are also actively encouraged to attend school events such as sports carnivals, exhibitions and performance evenings.
How can I contribute?
At Holy Cross our families are encouraged to visit and work in classrooms. There are also number of opportunities for families to learn about our school, including the transition and orientation to Kindergarten, Open Day, open classrooms, and parent information sessions held throughout the year.
Focus groups are held each year in first semester, one in Term 1 and the other in Term 2. These groups allow parents and carers to get involved in activities that are based on the current needs of the students and the school, these focus groups change each year. For example, a common focus group is 'Fundraising', which involves assisting in the organisation of fundraising activities such as Move-a-thon and Mother's and Father's Day stalls. A second focus group is usually on 'Wellbeing', which looks at ways our community can be proactive in enhancing positive student wellbeing.
The families of Holy Cross Primary School are generous in supporting our community through their time, efforts and supporting our fundraising activities. We look forward to meeting you as you find your own way of getting involved in your child's education at Holy Cross.

Volunteer and Contractor Training
We welcome the contribution volunteers make to the life of our school.
As part of our commitment to keeping students safe, all volunteers in schools are required to complete the building child safe communities undertaking form and child protection training module before volunteering. These checks reduce potential risk and forms part of our strategy to build child safe communities.
