Representatives from Year One dropped off gifts at the Giving Tree
The true mission of Jesus and the spirit of Christmas was evident at Holy Cross Primary School Glenwood this week when Year One students presented gifts they bought for the Kmart Wishing Tree at Blacktown.
The store manager met three representatives from Year One- Arabelle Stennett, Patrick Villiers and Amelia O’Rourke and congratulated them on their generosity towards those in need.
Earlier this term, students made puzzles, packaged them and sold them, to raise money for the gifts. The students then chose gifts and wrapped them in their own art work for children in need this Christmas.
Principal Marina Hardy said that the students’ generous and thoughtful actions reflect the true meaning of Christmas. ‘We are very proud of our young students who have worked to raise money and buy gifts to those who are not as fortunate,’ said Marina.

This morning we held our annual Book Week Book Parade and it was another exciting event for our community! ππ The students had a great time singing and dancing as they paraded their costumes for everyone to see. Well done to everyone for getting involved and making it so much fun! Big thanks to Mrs Morris and Mrs Calabritta who did an awesome job of hosting the event!

Celebrating 40 years of Catholic education in our Diocese! πβ¨ On Wednesday, our student representatives attended the annual Education Mass at St Patrickβs Cathedral, Parramatta. This special Mass brought together students, staff and parents from across the Diocese of Parramatta to celebrate their vital role in the mission of the Church. Adding to the joy, this year's service coincided with the 40th Anniversary of the Diocese of Parramatta, marking four decades of rich history, learning, and community across our Catholic school system. We are so proud of our student leaders for representing our school at such a meaningful event!
