Mandala artworks

11 Nov 2019

2019MArt1

The students have been working hard at creating wonderful mandala artworks to contribute to colouring books that will be sold as Christmas gifts this year.

Each grade will put together a colouring book consisting of 20 artworks chosen by teachers and students. Details on how to order and the types of packages available will be released soon.

In the spirit of giving, a portion of the money raised from each book will be donated to charity to help make a difference in the lives of others this Christmas.

Today, our school community gathered for a moving ANZAC Day Commemoration to honour the courage and sacrifice of those who served and continue to serve in our armed forces. It was a privilege to see our students show such profound respect during the wreath-laying ceremony and the sounding of the Last Post. Through their silence and reflection, we ensure that the spirit of the ANZACS—courage, mateship, and sacrifice—lives on in the next generation. "They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old; Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning We will remember them."

Today we continued our journey through this sacred season of Lent, with our students prayerfully reflecting on the Stations of the Cross. ✝️ Together, we walked with Jesus, pausing at each station to remember His love, sacrifice, and compassion. May we continue to carry the message of the Cross in our hearts, showing love and care to all we meet. ✝️

As we continue our journey through Holy Week, our Year 2 students led us in reflecting on the powerful moment of Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane. ✝️ In this sacred place, Jesus showed us the meaning of trust, courage, and surrender to God’s will. Through prayer and quiet reflection, we are reminded that even in times of worry or uncertainty, we are never alone.

This morning we gathered to reflect on Palm Sunday, and we were reminded of Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem, where he was welcomed with joy and praise. 🌿 Our students reverently waved their palms and reflected on the beginning of the journey of Holy Week, a time of hope, humility, and love. ✝️
